What is Penny-Save
Welcome to Penny-Save where we find extraordinary deals on products that you use every day. Our goal is to inform our visitors of deals around the internet that can't be passed up without charging a single penny for our service. We have no affiliation with any company or product we advertise, so you don't have to worry about being false advertisements. We are always working for you. In this economy, every penny counts.
Advertising with Penny-Save
Advertising is one of the best ways to gain new customers to your service. We are willing to work with our custmers to make the best possible advertising solution. We offer considerably low rates that should not be ignored. For further information, see our advertising page.
How much does membership cost?
We do not charge users for anything on Penny-Save. A good deal requires no extra payments or gotchas. If somone is pretending to be us and charge for our services, please immediately get a refund and report them to us (especially if they got listed on our site somehow).
How exactly do you find deals?
Our deals go through a multi-step process to ensure your not getting a bad deal (like credit cards). The code will run for 10 seconds and will return all of our reslts, this keeps it very updated, which is very hard to do when tacking over one thousand deals at a time. Here is how it works; Our robot goes out an collects around 1200 deals from many online stores, then the deals are filtered out if the deal contains certain keywords (like credit), next the deals are then sorted from newest to oldest, and we finally delete all but the newest posts, then ship 'em off to our deal trackers which further refine the results.
Who founded this amazing deal site?
Adam Miner is the main guy around here at Penny-Save. He is a 14 year old website programmer with an adequate amount of HTML knowledge, but he is constantly learning more code. He is joking about running for president as a member of the Birthday Party, but he doesn't want to go bald (like other presidents). He says that it is a pretty fun life to post deals on Penny-Save, because he knows thatheI have completed his mission and have saved the general population from over-inflated prices by providing them with the dealz ('foo)!
His family actually doesn't like this website because they get buying impulses from coming here. They have bought printers, RAM, and a whole bunch of other stuff off here. The deals are so great that they end up costing them a bunch of money, something you would have never expected!
How does Penny-Save make money?
We do not push certain products, or alter our code to help out a partner, we simply display the deals, so who pays for Penny-Save? We are what you call a Personal/Advertising supported site. The site is paid for out of pocket, unless somebody chooses to advertise with us. With advertising, we can easily pay to keep our site online, yet keep it from being cluttered by a bunch of "Hosted by ______" banners . Every penny counts to keep us online! If you would like to help us, please advertise with us!
Who designed your site?
The actual logistics behind Penny-Save were coded by Adam Miner . The PS deal finder has also been recently overhauled by Adam Miner based on the SimplePie PHP library. There were many other features that went into the making of this site, including colorboxes (inframe popup when a deal is clicked) and other UI features. Thanks to all who contributed to our site!
